ATR Computational Neuroscience Laboratories and JST ICORP, hardware by SARCOS

ATR is a Japanese research organisation founded in 1986 whose Computational Neuroscience Laboratories study the brain and brain-machine interfaces; with the government-funded JST ICORP Computational Brain Project (director Mitsuo Kawato) it commissioned the CB humanoid. The hardware came from SARCOS of Salt Lake City, founded 1983, later owned by Raytheon and now Palladyne AI.
