RIKEN Bio-Mimetic Control Research Center
A RIKEN research centre that studied control systems modelled on living things, with labs on environment-adaptive robots and biologically inspired sensors. It built RI-MAN, a care robot that lifted people-sized dolls, whose work passed to the RIKEN-Tokai Rubber centre that made RIBA.
