Carter

A camera-guided warehouse cart robot with configurable shelves, a touchscreen and barcode scanner that follows pickers or drives loads on its own, but can also be pushed by hand. Unveiled as a concept in 2022, it reached production as Carter Pro in October 2024, and a Gen 3 version with Aptiv radar-vision sensing followed in 2026.

Why it matters

Designed so warehouse staff can grab its handlebar and push or steer it like an ordinary cart, sensing force over the whole robot.

Real-world use

DHL Supply Chain reported 60%+ productivity gains in 2025 and signed a five-year alliance for Mexico; Saddle Creek, ShipLab and O'Neill Logistics (24 robots) deployed Carter in 2025-2026.
