Northstar
Prototype Version 0
A lightweight, human-scale prototype (called Northstar in Electrek; Version 0) designed and assembled in Paris over nine months by a startup led by former Tesla Optimus and Hugging Face LeRobot engineer Remi Cadene, with a blank light-up visor face and a swappable sensor garment, shown to journalists ahead of the Machina Summit. UMA says the first industrial version is wheeled, with a biped as the long-term goal; the launch video shows an exposed frame with articulated arms, claw-like grippers and a camera head.
