SURALP

A human-sized biped with 29 driven axes in its legs, arms, waist and neck, using DC motors, belts and Harmonic Drive gears, force-torque sensors, IMUs and cameras. Its legs first walked in May 2008, the design was presented at IROS 2009, and at its public debut in October 2010 it picked up a drink can, handed it to a person and threw the empty can away.
