Why it matters

Aurora says these trucks made the first regular commercial driverless heavy-truck deliveries on US public roads, starting 27 April 2025 between Dallas and Houston.

Real-world use

Hauled paid loads for Hirschbach and Uber Freight on I-45 from April 2025, later adding Fort Worth-El Paso and El Paso-Phoenix lanes; Aurora said it had 10 driverless trucks in December 2025, then cut this fleet in early 2026 to make way for its second-generation trucks.
